This meal consists of:
• 100% Minced Beef Tripe
Important: Tripe is a natural product with nothing added or taken away and as such can vary greatly in colour, smell and fat content.
The fat content shown in the table on the next tab is an example of the particular batch that was analysed but all tripe will vary in fat content depending on where in the country they have come from, the type of grass they have been fed and the time of year. Sometimes it is whiter and fattier than other times so please bear this in mind when ordering.
Raw green tripe offers beneficial bacteria and enzymes. It has a desirable calcium:phosphorus ratio of 1:1. Green tripe’s pH is acidic, the protein is 16.2%, and the fat is 12.1%. It also has the correct proportions of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.
One of the best constituents of raw green tripe is lactobacillus acidophilus. This is one of the intestinal bacteria that keep unwanted bacteria such as e-coli, salmonella and listeria from overpopulating and causing health problems.
A balance of microflora in the gut is extremely important to maintaining good health.
These probiotics help keep the animal’s immune system in top shape.
Digestive enzymes. The enzymes that help the ruminant digest its meal will give the pet the same benefit. Dogs and cats do not naturally produce amylase, so the nutrients present in vegetative matter are not readily available to them. Raw green tripe contains these digestive enzymes.
This product comes as 10 individual unwrapped frozen blocks of approximately 1kg each. Each block is approximately the size of a house brick.

I've raw fed since the 90's up until my old dog passed four years ago. This year I got a new puppy and he has started to show signs of grain intolerance so a quick Google search and I found they love it.
Their prices are amazingly low so I'm able to give my puppy what he needs and their advice is amazing especially as last time I raw fed it was just bones and blocks of mince, none of these fancy treats!
As for the puppy's thoughts, he wolfs it down and wants to know why I won't give him more, I think he'd quite happily chew on a frozen block, if he could get into the freezer.

My dogs love it, I try to give them tripe as it's so good for them but it absolutely stinks! They love it though. I must add that everyone working at Benfleet must have the patience of a saint. I've picked up orders where people have just turned up and basically demanded food. How the lady in the shop has kept her cool is a miracle!

Dogs love this tripe bowls are always left empty and do not have greedy dogs!! I can't stand the smell of tripe but not a problem the fact it is eaten straight away.

Have just started using this as a topper for our kibble and our 5 month puppy loves it! She normally takes ages to eat her food but with the tripe she eats it all straight away. Very happy and will use again.
